Creativity, vulnerability, dedication, comradery: these are the values that drive Slumbercloud, a power trio from Groningen, Netherlands.

For Slumbercloud, genre is a moving target; their music is playful but aggressive, loud yet dynamically diverse, harsh and beautiful in the same breath. Born as a heavily grunge/punk-influenced project, now morphed into an inimitable mix of metal, grunge, post-hardcore, hard rock and ambient post-rock, the band defines themselves anew with their anticipated full-length, SLC, released in November 2024.

Slumbercloud began in earnest in June of 2022, though members of the band spent years before that improvising and writing songs together. Their debut year was full of highlights, including a sold-out, third-show-ever at Vera Downstage, packed-out performances during ESNS 2024, and a well-received EP (Human Problem) whose single "Meant for Nothing" earned a spot on 3voor12 Groningen's Beste Nummers van Groningse Bodem list.
